SM Wins 7 Awards from HK-based Magazine

(02 April 2019. Pasay City, Philippines) SM won seven awards from Hong Kong’s Corporate Governance Asia magazine.

During the 14th Corporate Governance Asia (CG Asia) Recognition Awards, cited for Asia’s Icons of Corporate Governance are SM Investments Corporation (SM) for the 13th consecutive year, BDO Unibank, Inc. (BDO) for the 14th straight time, and SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime) for the 8th year.

The Icons of Corporate Governance is the highest accolade that CG Asia bestowed on companies that have consistently made the honor rolls in the magazine’s annual awards. 

SM also garnered individual awards.  Cited for Asian Corporate Director Recognition are the following: SM Chairman of the Board Jose T. Sio; SM Vice Chairperson and concurrently BDO Chairperson Teresita Sy-Coson, BDO President Nestor V. Tan; and SM Prime President Jeffrey C. Lim.

This recognition is for outstanding corporate directors from boards of public and private companies in Asia who have been leaders in guiding their respective boards and executive management in growing their companies while maintaining the ethics intact.
