Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod’s Art Cove brings back a nostalgic perspective of rest with its newest exhibition, “Day Off”

Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod’s Art Cove is delighted to announce the opening of “Day Off,” a two-man show featuring the unique works of Negrosanon artists Revo Yanson and Ryn Paul Gonzales.

As the title connotes, “Day Off” offers art viewers a reminiscent view of the concept of rest or taking breaks. The exhibit represents our intrinsic nature to search for simple joys beyond the allurements of the world,” said Revo Yanson.

“Personally, looking at the artworks of our dear artists awakened an old perspective of rest. A time travel to a period where we define fun as a stroll in the park, enjoy face-to-face conversations with friends and family, and where nature is our playground,” said Sherwin Lucas, Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod General Manager, in his welcome speech.

The new display consists of 19 masterpieces, each done intricately by the artists. Revo Yanson’s works for this show were done using pen and ink on Vellum board, and Ryn Paul Gonzales’ pieces used a mix of oil paints, etching, and metal inlays on a sugarcane knife.

“I chose to work on the sugar cane knives and included symbolic characters, such as the Carabao, that portrays our struggles and perseverance to survive,” said Ryn Paul Gonzales

The featured artists led the ribbon-cutting ceremony and were assisted by Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod’s General Manager, Sherwin Lucas, and Front Office Manager, Archie Javellana. The private launch was graced by local media, select corporate guests, SM affiliates, and Negrense art personalities.

The exhibit is open to the public and will run until October 8, 2022. For sales inquiries and artwork purchases, guests may approach the hotel front desk or call +63 34 706 8888. To view the online catalog, please visit:
