SM marks a milestone for National Women’s Month as the company signs the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) during the launch of its Women at Work pop-up market at SM Aura Premier on March 5.

Co-signatories of the WEPs are SM Prime Holdings Inc and SM Supermalls, represented by Steven Tan, president of SM Supermalls; The SM Store, represented by its President Chelo Monasterio; and SM Retail Inc., represented by its President Chito Manalo.

In celebration of Women’s Month while supporting female entrepreneurs with SM’s Women at Work pop-up market, SM Supermalls uses its platform nationwide to support women-owned micro, small and medium enterprises across the country. With the Philippine Commission on Women and UN Women, it also brings together budding women entrepreneurs, joining hands to empower women at work.

SM becomes the largest homegrown company to sign the WEPs of UN Women in the Philippines.
