SM Supermalls, PANAF extend deadline for Youth Creativity Festival Video Competition

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Young marketing aspirants still have a chance to create and submit their entries to the Philippine Association of National Advertisers Foundation (PANAF) Youth Creativity Festival Video Competition as the deadline of submission has been extended to July 15.

Jonjon San Agustin, senior vice president for marketing at SM Supermalls, said that aside from numerous requests they received to extend the deadline, they wanted to give student participants more time to conceptualize their marketing plan and translate this into a video content.

“We believe that this is an excellent opportunity and a great platform for the student participants to apply the lessons they’ve learned in school into a real-world situation,” said San Agustin.

This year’s competition was organized by SM Supermalls in collaboration with PANAF.

With the theme “Building the Mall of the Future Beyond Beta”, the PANAF Youth Creativity Festival Video Competition is open to all college students. Participants must create a 2 to 3-minute video content containing a strategic marketing plan of the theme.

Entries may be made individually or by a group with a maximum of five members.

Interested students must have a Gmail account and must fill out the Google form to register. They should also attach proof of enrollment/registration of each member before they can upload the video entry on the Google form.

Upon submission, the participant will receive a confirmation email and a certificate of participation. For more inquiries, participants may send e-mail to smxpanaf.ycf@gmail.com.

The entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges from SM Supermalls and PANAF using the following criteria:

● Marketing Strategy – 35%

● Brand Communication and Creative Materials – 30%

● Marketing Metrics – 25%

● Video Presentation – 100%

The top three winners will be notified via e-mail and phone call on July 30.

Aside from certificates of recognition, the first, second, and third prize winners will receive ₱30,000, ₱20,000, and ₱10,000-worth of SM gift certificates, respectively.
