Random acts of kindness make life a little better under the COVID-19 pandemic.

This was proven once again as a security personnel at SM Center in Pulilan, Bulacan was commended for displaying remarkable honesty when he returned a wallet containing P46,798 in cash to a mall patron on Saturday, June 5.

Veronica B. Cunan, SM Baliuag and SM Center Pulilan public relations officer, in a telephone interview on Tuesday, identified the security personnel as Rodel Victorino.

Cunan said Victorino was assigned to the SM Center Pulilan parking area. While checking the vicinity, he found a wallet containing various identification cards and cash amounting to P46,798.

Victorino wasted no time and immediately reported his discovery of the wallet to the mall’s Customer Relations Office (CRS).

A few hours later, the wallet was returned to its owner, identified as Cristan Parajas, of Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

In May, 2020, a security officer from the same mall, identified as Reynold Gumarang, earned praise on social media when he returned a patron‘s wallet containing P36,431.
