Philsys National ID registration centers at SM Supermalls

The MoU formally sealed the nationwide participation of SM Supermalls to make the PhilSys registration services accessible to the mall-going public. Through the joint initiative of SM and PSA, all citizens and foreign permanent residents can now easily register for the official national identity card. The National ID card aims to simplify and boost efficiency by presenting only one ID in both public and private transactions.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and SM Supermalls entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 14, 2021 at 10:30 a.m; at SM Aura, BGC, Taguig City. Representing PSA are National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, Undersecretary Claire Dennis Mapa, Ph.D and Assistant Secretary Rosalinda P. Bautista of the Philsys Registry Office. SM Supermalls was represented by its President Steven Tan and Senior Vice President, Bien Mateo.

As of today, Philsys National ID registration has been rolled out in the majority of SM’s Metro Manila malls since May 21 and at select North and Visayas malls totaling about 28 malls. 27 more malls will start operations between June 14 to 30, 2021. Being a staunch supporter of safe community building, SM Supermalls aims to provide a convenient avenue for Filipinos to file for their ID. SM also continues to assure the public of a safe and secure environment in every visit made by its beloved shoppers.

As part of the SM Group’s thrust to provide complete service to communities, SM Supermalls operates a Government Service Express (GSE) Center in selected malls nationwide which houses satellite offices of government agencies to make their services accessible to the public through SM’s network of malls nationwide.
