‘OPTE Help’

SM Foundation extends a helping hand through its Operation: Tulong Express to victims of the recent earthquake that rocked Metro Manila and the provinces of Pampanga, Zambales and Bataan. Volunteer SM employees joined other volunteers in distributing relief packs in 22 barangays in Porac, San Marcelino, Hermosa, Subic, Zambales and Bataan to benefit 2,950 families or 14,750 individuals.

SM Foundation AVP for Outreach and Livelihood Cristie Angeles led the event with support by Savemore and SM Supermarket, which provided the relief goods, SM Supermalls (Pampanga, San Fernando, Telabastagan, Clark, Tarlac and Olongapo) for coordination, transportation and distribution of goods, Our Home, St. Isadore Learning Center, Savemore and Dahnberger Construction for providing trucks for relief, and RDSWD3 and LGU social development offices for facilitating the orderly distribution in all areas.
