BFP awards 1st KAISA Manifesto of Support in Palawan to SM City Puerto Princesa

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) awarded SM City Puerto Princesa the first Kaisa Manifesto of Support in Palawan, honoring the company’s self-imposed fire safety awareness programs and initiatives.

According to a statement issued by the mall’s Public Relations Office, BFP Chief Inspector Nilo Caabay led the awarding ceremonies and the placement of KAISA posters on the mall’s doors on Thursday, August 5.

“Kaisa is a call-to-action against destructive fire campaign by the Bureau of Fire Protection. Through this, we seek the participation of partner stakeholders from government offices, private establishments, and other organizations in our efforts to spread fire safety awareness and prevention,” City Fire Marshall CInsp. Nilo Caabay Jr. said.

The Kaisa campaign under the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan has a theme: “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa!”

SM City Puerto Princesa has proved its eligibility for the award after being assessed for long-term fire safety awareness efforts, it said

“This is an affirmation of SM’s commitment on fire safety protection and a show of support for the BFP of Palawan,” said Maidja Saliente, mall manager of SM City Puerto Princesa.

The Kaisa Manifesto of Support serves as a symbol of appreciation of the BFP partner’s dedication to promote fire safety in their business even without its supervision, despite the fact that it is not a necessity prior to the issuance of a Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC).

The Kaisa campaign under the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan has a theme: “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa!” and aims to promote active participation of every sector of society in fire prevention and safety in general.
