SM Investments Corporation (SMIC) is committed to the protection of the health, safety, and wellbeing of all members of the organization including its subsidiaries. The Company strives to promote a strong and sustainable culture that will facilitate the awareness of risk and the prevention of injury and illness.<\/p>

All subsidiaries are likewise required to adhere to the policy statement of SMIC and ensure that individual Operational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are catered to their specific business and operational risks.<\/p>

<\/b>2.0 OBJECTIVES<\/span><\/h6>

To protect every employee against the dangers of injury, sickness, or death through safe and healthy working conditions, thereby assuring the conservation of valuable human resources and the prevention of loss or damage to lives and properties, consistent with Company’s development goals.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/b>3.0 COVERAGE<\/span><\/h6>

This covers SMIC employees, whether probationary or regular, as well as contractors, consultants and other individual under the company’s supervision.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

3.1<\/p>

Our office has a functional clinic where medical specialists are available from Monday to Friday.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

3.2<\/p>

We have 24\/7 roving ambulatory services and functional medical staff to handle any emergency within the vicinity of SM Mall of Asia Complex.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

3.3<\/p>

We have a disaster preparedness program in place to ensure the safety of all during an emergency or disaster. We have instituted the following:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

a. Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Drill – a regular simulated drill which is conducted to ensure preparedness of all in the case of an emergency \/disaster.<\/p>

b. BCP Messaging facility- a text blast system in which messages are sent simultaneously to all employees to check on their status and condition and ensure no one is left behind or unattended during an emergency.<\/p>
