Jason Yap, President and CEO of Benby Enterprises Inc., gave Irvins a permanent home in the Philippines in 2017 when it opened its first store at SM Megamall.
“During our opening, we sold one container worth in our first weekend at SM Megamall,” exclaims Jason. “This is the global record.”
Filipinos simply loved the salted egg taste on chips and fish skins. But like any other business, it faced tremendous challenges when the Covid-19 pandemic struck. To address this, Irvins expedited its plans of placing their products in supermarkets and strengthening their online presence and delivery system with the help of SM.
“We are also working with SM malls to strengthen our online sales through the SM online delivery initiatives. We want to make our products more accessible to our customers,” Jason says.
Irvins also makes sure that their staff are healthy and follow safety protocols for their welfare and that of their customers’. Making their employees feel secured and that they are cared for is what makes Irvins continue to surmount this crisis.
