With the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine, the government is calling for everyone’s cooperation to stay at home to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  For its part, China Bank assures the availability of its digital banking channels so customers can do their banking transactions at the safety and comfort of their homes.

In a letter to its valued clients posted on the Bank’s website and social media accounts, China Bank President William C. Whang urged customers to use China Bank Online, Mobile App, and Tellerphone.  He also noted that China Bank and China Bank Savings’ 1,013 ATMs are available and replenished with cash to the extent practicable without compromising the health and safety of employees and service providers. When it’s absolutely necessary, like making a deposit or large withdrawals, 208 China Bank and China Bank Savings branches in Luzon are open on shortened banking hours.

Digital banking channels are safe and convenient banking options, especially in the current situation.  The Bank, however, reminds customers to be wary of scammers and reiterates that it will never call or send emails or messages requesting for passwords or personal identification numbers. For account concerns, customers can call the Customer Contact Center at 888-55-888 from 7 am to 9 pm daily.

Since the start of the community quarantine, China Bank has been implementing its business continuity plan to provide the needed banking services while operating on skeletal force.

Apart from its frontliners and key operations teams, most of the Bank’s workforce are working from home. It is also urging customers to bank from home for their own safety and protection.
