SM Reports, Programs Bag Anvil Awards

SM receives the Anvil Awards for its Annual and Sustainability reports for 2016 from the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) officers and awards committee members. (4 April 2018. Pasay City, Philippines) SM Investments Corporation (SM), SM Prime Holdings, SM Foundation, and SM Retail won four awards during the Public Relations Society of the Philippines’ (PRSP) Gabi ng Parangal 53rd Anvil Awards held last March 23, 2017.

SM was awarded Silver Anvils for its 2016 Annual and Sustainability Reports. The SM and SM Prime’s 2016 Unified Annual Reports, with the theme, “Innovating for a Better Tomorrow” and “Shaping for a Better Tomorrow”, clinched a Silver Anvil Award “for being effective investor communication tools for both of its companies.”

SM’s Sustainability Report in 2016 with the theme, “Embracing Sustainability for a Better Tomorrow” also earned a Silver Anvil Award for “manifesting SM’s commitment to sustainability and corporate governance. It also underscored its alignment with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.”

As part of its program expansion, SM Foundation’s Technical Vocational Scholarship Grants for Gainful Employment earned a Gold Anvil for providing 1,000 tech-voc scholarship grants, an 800% increase from the previous years.

SM Retail clinched a Silver Anvil Award for its All-New SM Retail Employees’ Portal with its redesign of the company’s intranet as an all-service, one-stop-shop employees’ portal.

The Anvil is presented to outstanding public relations tools and programs that have met the high standards set for each category. PR practitioners, industry communications specialists, academicians, and business persons attended the event.
