This is equivalent to 275 million barrels of avoided oil imports and has helped reduce CO2 emissions by at least 58 billion kilograms since the start of its commercial operations in 1979.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Currently, PGPC and its affiliate companies are exploring\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">additional geothermal energy projects in Daklan, Mt. Labo, Mt. Malinao, Cagua and Baua-Sikaw, and Kalinga for a total development potential of about 250 \u2013 400 MW. This is in support of the country\u2019s national goal to increase its renewable energy mix to 35% by 2030 and to 50% by 2040.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">We also continue to support our established Tiwi Upland Management Areas for Nature-based Agriculture (TUMANA) program for the agricultural training needs of the local communities. The hub that we built together with our partners as part of this program has now become the learning resource center for the Tiwi municipality. It also offers internship programs for the youth who take interest in agriculture and agricultural management.<\/p><p>Partnering with the local government units and academic institutions, we have two adopted plantations under our Kupkop Kabundukan (adopt the mountains) program and continue to collaborate with the Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems of the University of the Philippines Los Ba\u00f1os for the conservation and protection of the forest reserve and four of its surrounding watersheds.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2b43177 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"2b43177\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a04cc3d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"a04cc3d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2279d7f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2279d7f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p2\">PGPC exploration prospects in South Luzon.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d0607ec elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d0607ec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p2\">We also continue to pursue efforts to rehabilitate forests and mangrove forests along the Bariis River and bay area in Tiwi as part of our Environmental Conservation Sustaining Tiwi\u2019s Agri-Aqua Resources (ECO-STAR) Program. These forests also serve as a sanctuary for sea turtles which are considered as keystone
