Green Pinoy EXPO 2010 slated at SM Megamall Wednesday, March 3, 2010
Source: Philippine Star The Philippine Product Safety and Quality Foundation will conduct its first Green Pinoy Expo 2010 at the SM Mega Trade Hall 1, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City on March 5 to 7; 2010. The expo is in response to the financial crisis and calamities that have visited the country in the past year.
With the objective of promoting environment and eco-friendly products to our consumers to drive an awareness campaign to save the environment, the expo hopes to create awareness to preserve our natural resources and promote and generate jobs through local patronage.
Exhibitors will include appliances with energy savings features, construction materials that carry the green label or have sustainable environment practices, testing laboratories and other consumer products.
Guest speakers for the opening ceremony are Montri Mahaplerkpong, president and CEO of United Pulp and Paper Corp.; and urban planner Felino Palafox. During the three-day event, side activities include talks about the significance of green labels, green architecture, energy-saving tips, greening the supply chair and government projects for Palit Ilaw and alternative fuel. Resource persons from the government and private industries will be the speakers for the side activities.
